Woodhull Hospital opens ExpressCare Clinic

On Monday, NYC Health + Hospitals/Woodhull celebrated the opening of their new ExpressCare Clinic, the first of its kind in Brooklyn.

As its name suggests, the clinic provides faster access to medical care for patients with non-life-threatening conditions.

It will be open seven days a week, operating from 6 p.m. to midnight on weekdays and from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. on weekends.

Walk-in services will be provided for conditions like colds, flu, sprains, skin rashes, minor cuts and lacerations and certain types of infections.

Health officials say shifting patients to ExpressCare will shorten their wait times. The clinic also differs from urgent care centers by offering a closer connection to primary care providers.

The Woodhull location has already treated patients since December 2019.
